What makes these equipments expensive isn’t the demand but inclusion of suppliers in the sale process. Suppliers are involved to take the products to market and they are given free hand in determining price of the products.

A tool is sold to a supplier, who in turn resells it to another in line. In this way a tool changes several hands before reaching the shop from where it is bought by the end user. Every supplier involved in selling this tool adds his premium on the cost of the tool taking the cost up by a few hundred dollars. This is the reason behind the high price of garden equipments. On searching cheap online shopping on the web, you would find two types of websites. First type of websites is sites of used goods that sell second hand products. Second type of sites is websites of manufacturers that sell new products at affordable price. It is better to buy a new product at affordable price instead of buying a used tool at cheap price.
